Our Workflow

Whether your project is fully defined or only in its infancy, our wide range of design and machining services, combined with our methodical approach to workflow, ensure that your job receives outstanding care—from inception to completion.

Workflow Scenarios

We can work from a rather wide range of customer-supplied inputs, from the vague to the completely defined. However, the more information you provide, the easier it will be to deliver the quality and service you expect.

Your project is completely defined, and you simply need a quote.

We love it when we receive complete 3D solid models and assemblies of your parts, accompanied by clear 2D drawings, BOMs, and other key information, such as quantity and desired delivery dates. Less guessing on our part means we can quote with confidence and provide realistic pricing and delivery dates.

Your project is not fully defined, or it's still in flux.

We'll review your requirements and provide feedback. As your design evolves, we'll analyze your 3D CAD data, provide insight, and help you make your project more manufacturable and less expensive to produce. With a solid understanding of what you need, we'll manufacture directly from your 3D CAD data.

You have sketches, drawings, or need to reverse-engineer a part.

Have a design that's not finished? No worries, we can run with it. Depending on your requirements, we'll flesh out your design and tie up loose ends before proceeding to production. We’re creative, clever, and like to think on our feet.

You need something made, but have only a description of it.

We'll design and build test-and-assembly fixtures, jigs, concept prototypes—whatever you need. We create a 3D digital assembly of what we propose to build, refine the design with your input, then build it. Deliverables also include the associated 3D CAD design databases, 2D drawings, and supporting documentation.

Data Exchange

If your parts will be manufactured on our CNC equipment, we'll generate programs directly from your 3D CAD data, eliminating the risk of manual data-entry errors. Your 2D drawings, work instructions, and other documentation are also useful—and often necessary. We accept data in many formats, but strongly prefer solid models over surface or wireframe data.
